It's a scientific fact: Connecticut is Hell on Earth

When we woke up this morning we couldn't open our front door:

Those are our cars (we don't have a garage, so Chuck covered them with tarps):

And this is Chuck shoveling:

If you could hear him now, he sounds something like this:

"F**ing snow. F***ing winter. F***ing cold. F***ing Connecticut. I hate Connecticut!"

Chuck's not alone. In fact, he's commiserating with a fellow shoveler as I type:

The fact is, everyone's talking smack about Connecticut. It recently ranked number 50 on a list of the states ranked highest for happiness levels. Number 50. New Jersey ranked higher.

New Jersey.

I think this article says it all. I'd summarize for you, but Chuck's lying in the middle of the road right now and I think I should ask traffic not to run him over.

Sigh. If we lived in Jersey, this would never happen.

Wow. That IS a lot of snow. Looks familiar.

I like that he covered them in tarps though. Because, y'know, cars are delicate that way.

No offense, but I'm glad you guys got more snow than we did. I live in NH, and we usually get a ton of snow! Maybe alcohol will help the happiness factor in your state. Are your liquor stores open on Sundays? Good luck shoveling out, I hope you rescued Chuck before a car came!

Our liquor stores are not open on Sundays. Yet another reason why Connecticut blows.

I talked to my brother in NJ yesterday. He wasn't happy either but my sister in law's car was in the garage. HIS was not.

My nephews were happy. I don't know about CT but in NJ you can't buy liquor in the grocery stores. Here in MT you can buy beer and wine on Sundays but not hard liquor. Like you can't get drunk on beer and wine?

I think that in New Jersey they may have aimed for your husband if he was passed out in the street after shoveling.

Shit, come to California where it doesn't snow very much AND you can buy liquor in grocery stores, on Sundays, and liquor stores are open all night practically 7 days a week.

That is waaaaay too much snow. I was looking at the pictures wondering what one does when their cars are stuck and you have somewhere you HAVE to be?!

We couldn't open our front door either - or any door for that matter. We shoveled Saturday morning, but by this morning it looked like we hadn't done a damn thing...f-in snow!

We got snow too. We have a garage but I ran into with the rack on our car and broke it. My husband won't get it fixed - thus punishing me during the winter....asshole.

WOW that is a lot of snow. I don't envy you at all. I mean, I'm all for a bit of the white stuff to go sledding ..but that sucks.

I am loving my CA about now. :)

Chuck should just give up and make some snow angels.

Liquor stores are closed on Sundays in Arkansas too. But we haven't had that much snow in my lifetime. If we did it would be a statewide emergency.

Snow. *sigh* all we get is ice, sleet and rain. No snow thrower?

Ugh, that suck. I feel for you. But really? To wish for New Jersey? You guys have got to be desperate. Take two cocoas and blog again in the morning...

Laughing at my pain? Sheila, you must be from Connecticut!

Dude I don't mean to rub it in your snowy nose, but it was 66 today here in TX. Winters in TX aren't bad, yo.

Oh, New Jersey looks a lot like Connecticut does right now. When I opened my door on Sunday the only part of my car that was visible was the sideview mirror.
We also have a shithole neighbor who plowed about 4 feet of snow into our driveway.
Can I send his ass to Connecticut?

OMGosh that is a lot of snow!! We haven't had snow like that in a while now!

Hope you had a moment or two of fun out of it.
A snowman, or some snow angels perhaps?
(but not in the road....)

Thanks for reminding me why I moved from CT.

Parts of CT are good --- the parts that don't get as much snow as you had. However, these parts have horrible traffic and that blows. [Note: Can't believe NJ beat us]

Holy Crap! We had a few millimeters over Christmas and the city nearly shut down! Connecticut does suck. Texas rocks. You should move. We have plenty of mullets here, too.
