Woohoo. Another sandwich

I finally did it. I hard boiled eggs for Easter. There were some, um, casualties, but without your egg-pertise (da dun dun) I wouldn't have had this lovely bowl of...eggs.

Or this:

Next up: Figuring out what the fuck to do with leeks. I mean really. What end do you even use?

Leaks make a great soup. I've been making creamy cauliflower soup with leaks. Yum.

LOL - you use the whole darn leek and make cream of leek soup - same like any cream of soup, only with leeks...if you like onions, then you should like the soup.

Be sure and wash them very carefully because the sand hides behind every leaf, especially towards the bottom...I just separate the whole darn vegetable.

Use both ends. Make Potato & Leek soup...delicious! I loooove leeks. And I love eggs. I'll have to figure out a way to combine the two.

You could use leeks as a teething ring.....

ok, i am so a rule breaker when it comes to leeks. first, i like them because they are like onions but milder. and i don't notice a smell on me when i'm done eating them.

"they" say only use the whites. i say eff that. the whites are such a short piece and there's all that lovely green to throw away. so, i use a lot of that too, until it gets like the texture of palm fronds and then i compost that part.

i grow them and it takes 2 years. they have to winter over, in my neck of the woods. my current leeks are coming along nicely from last year.

I like them!!
