Chuck: "I did."

That's one more than my husband does.

I LOVE that you have a french press. We do too. My husband doesn't wash that either. Even though I don't drink coffee.

STOP! I've heard it. In fact, just the other day {Monday to be exact.} I called my Hubby and asked if he would wash dishes...he said he would. I then called back an hour or so later and asked had he done them. He said he had, but had left some for me to wash because he sat it in the floor and forgot about it.

You sat it in the floor???
He said he ran out of counter space.
{There's at least 15ft of counter space...)

The one good thing about having older stepkids...when I ask my husband to do the dishes, he delegates to them. We're raising future executives here.

Yep..what is it with the masculine counterparts? I'm just glad I can get mine to cook for me on the weekends, he's great at that. Then...I get my son to clean up.

Bonus!

Thought this was a cute post, found you by way of The Humor Smith. Funny stuff, you'll be on my blogroll as well.

PB: I did dishes.
MB: With what? We're out of sponges.
PB: I soaked them and then rinsed them.
MB: Soaking a day old milk sippy cup does not make it clean. Nice try, though.

Yeah, I've heard that one.

What does he do if you ask him to wash "some" underwear?

I made a new rule this year that whoever cooks dinner, the other one has to clean up the kitchen (instead of me doing both, even though I get home from work 2 hours after him). There's been a pretty intense (though passive-aggressive) campaign to overturn the rule. Tonight I cleaned the kitchen after eating one of those meals with rice, which, for some reason, contained raw rice.

The next time I get married, it's going to be to a wife.

Mine washes the dishes . . . but he can't seem to load the dishwasher. He would rather wash a sink full of dirty dishes (and leave them to air-dry) than empty the clean dishwasher and then reload it. Go figure.

I have heard it - and lived it - but it never seems to go out of style:)

Yep, but mine goes:
It's Stretch's turn.
No it's not. I did one last week.
Well, I'm not doing it. It's your dish.
You ate off it too!
But you had it last.

Etc.

How to tell your third kid from your first

Note the appropriate response here is: "When did THAT happen?" because let's be honest, life is moving so fast, there's ...
